Tecnico Corp. has leased 50,000 square feet in Bridgeway Commerce Center in Suffolk.
According to Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer, the firm that brokered the deal, the company is expanding and relocating its business to service Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Newport News shipyard.
Tecnico was founded in 1990 to provide hull, mechanical, structural and electrical support services to the local master ship repair yards in the Hampton Roads region. The company has operating facilities in Norfolk, Mobile, Ala.; Philadelphia; and San Diego.
Clay Culbreth handled the lease negotiations for Tecnico as well as the landlord. William Throne, also with Thalhimer, represented the landlord, Liberty Property Trust.
