Norfolk-based T. Parker Host Inc. has opened Host Logistics LLC based in Garden City, N.Y.
This new division provides full supply chain management services, including cargo movement, stevedore/terminal contracting, warehousing, and supervision.
Founded in 1923, T. Parker Host acts as stevedores and terminal operators for a variety of operations, from dry bulk to break bulk and from containers to liquids.
CWT Commodities (USA) joined Host to create the new division. CWT officials Anton Posner and Margo Brock now are executive vice president and senior vice president of Host Logistics.
“Anton, Margo and their team have an excellent reputation for discovering creative ways to reach customers’ goals, while bringing many new ideas and strategies to the table,” Host CEO Adam Anderson said in a statement. “I look forward to combining their skill sets with Host Terminals, Host Marine, and Host Agency.”
Posner and Brock are graduates of the State University of New York Maritime College at Fort Schuyler. They have more than 25 years of logistics and supply chain management experience.
