Chris McHugh will oversee the company’s five facilities.

Staunton-based manufacturer Cadence Inc. announced Friday that Chris McHugh will be its new vice president of operations and will oversee the company’s five facilities.
McHugh comes from New London, Wisconsin-based Bemis Healthcare Packaging, where he was vice president of global operations and supply chain. He has worked for more than 22 years at companies such as General Motors, Ford Motor Co., American Safety Razor and Teneco.
McHugh succeeds Jack Abato, who will retire this spring after eight years at the company.
“We are excited about the opportunity to have Chris as a key member of our executive team,” CEO Alan Connor said in a statement. “The experience he brings to Cadence will only strengthen our commitment to excellence.”
Cadence is a contract manufacturing company that supplies products and services to life science, industrial, aerospace and medical device businesses products. It employs approximately 575 people in Staunton, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Wisconsin.
