Michael Wallace will continue CFO duties for Springfield-based healthcare communications company.

Spok Holdings Inc., a Fairfax County-based healthcare communications company, promoted Michael W. Wallace to chief operating officer on Thursday.
Wallace has worked as a financial and operational executive for approximately 25 years and joined Spok as its chief financial officer in 2017. He will maintain his CFO duties and take on more responsibility for services, support and maintenance as the company’s COO.
“My experience as Spok’s chief financial officer over the nearly past three years has positioned me to leverage our successes and the efficiencies we have created, across the entire organization,” Wallace said in a statement. “I look forward in this new role to support Spok in capturing the large market opportunity ahead of us and for sustained, long-term growth.
He has previously worked at companies such as Intermedix, The Elephant Group, the Radiology Corporation of America and the Security and Exchange Commission. Wallace earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
