Spectrum Design names new president, COO

David L. Bandy has been promoted to president of Spectrum Design, a Roanoke-based architecture and engineering design firm. Bandy was the company’s vice president and director of design.

Spectrum Designed also has hired John A. Missell as chief operating officer. Missell was the regional director of Middle East operations in Doha, Qatar for Tetra Tech, a Pasadena, Calif.-based company which provides environmental engineering and consulting services.

Bandy has contributed to various Spectrum Design projects including the renovations to Center in the Square and the Roanoke Higher Education Center.
