Smith/Packett Med-Com LLC of Roanoke has purchased about 4.2 acres of land from the city of Virginia Beach for $1.9 million. The tract is located at the corner of Princess Anne Road and Independence Blvd.
According to Robert M. Thornton, a broker with Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer who handled sale negotiations on behalf of the city, Smith/Packett plans to put an assisted living facility on the site. The company already has a project in Suffolk and plans another one in Chespeake, Thornton said.
