The Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors has approved the construction of The Summit at Magnolia Green, a large senior-living community.
The complex, which will be located north of Hull Street Road, represents an investment of more than $300 million by its owner, New York-based iStar Financial Inc.
The project will include 1,130 independent living units and 192 residencies for assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care.
The complex is expected to generate 224 full-time jobs (or the equivalent in part-time hours) and 180 jobs in the health-care sector plus about 100 jobs targeted to high school students.
