The U.S. Army awarded Reston-based Fortune 500 defense contractor Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) a $752.7 million task order to provide intelligence support services for the branch, according to a Sept. 4 System for Award Management (SAM) notice.

The General Services Administration’s Federal Acquisition Service received four offers for the task order, according to the SAM notice.

The task order has a one-year base period and four option years that could run through September 2015. More than $7 million was obligated at the time of the award.

Further details about the contract were not disclosed, but SAIC, which employs more than 25,000 people and has pro forma annual revenues of $7.1 billion, also reported in June that it had won a potential $2.9 billion task order to help the Army build, integrate and maintain software applications.
