The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) awarded a $40 million contract to Reston-based defense contractor Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) to provide operational test and evaluation services, according to a System for Award Management (SAM) notice

Under the contract, SAIC will help the TSA plan, implement, analyze and report airport operations. Work on the contract will include testing support and data collection support for the TSA’s procurement program management, requirements analysis and security operation teams.

The contract was awarded through the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees the TSA. Last week, SAIC announced it had also won a $63.5 million contract to provide mission engineering and integration services to the U.S. Navy.

The Fortune 500 company employs more than 25,000 people and has pro forma annual revenues of $7.1 billion.
