David Paxton, a partner with Roanoke-based law firm Gentry Locke, has been named chair of the Labor and Employment Law Group for ALFA International, a global network of more than 150 independent law firms.

ALFA International's 80 U.S. firms maintain offices in 95 of the top 100 largest metropolitan areas, and its 70 international firms are located throughout Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia, India, South America and Australia.

Paxton chairs Gentry Locke’s labor and employment practice.
