Chantilly-based R&F Commercial Debt and Equity LLC announced Monday that it has launched a new lending fund.
R&F Real Estate Opportunity Fund 1 is a private real estate lending and investment company that will use investor money to make loans secured by commercial and residential properties. It may also invest in such properties in more stable growth regional real estate markets such as Washington, D.C. and Florida.
The typical loan or investment is expected to be about $500,000 to $1.5 million. The fund is currently seeking up to $5 million in a Rule 506 private placement to accredited investors only.
As a company, R&F Commercial Debt and Equity seeks to capitalize on the perceived lack of bank and other traditional funding for commercial and residential loans and investments by establishing private lending and investment funds to provide loans or capital to commercial and residential real estate transactions typically below $10 million. The firm has offices in the Washington, D.C., area as well as Florida.
