Reston-based tech company Internap Holding LLC (INAP) announced Wednesday it has hired Joe Corvaia as executive vice president and chief revenue officer.

With more than 24 years of experience, Corvaia most recently worked for Oracle Corp. as the group vice president for its cloud independent software vendor (ISV) ecosystem. In his new role at INAP, he will lead company growth and global go-to-market strategy and execution.

“Joe was the architect behind a number of successful growth organizations in cloud and infrastructure, and his expertise in scaling sales, along with his dedication to partners and customer-first mentality, will be instrumental to our growth,” INAP President and CEO Mike Sicoli said in a statement.

Corvaia also previously served as vice president of cloud pursuit with Oracle and previously worked with NTT Communications, Evolve IP and Broadview Networks. His career has been focused on public cloud, hybrid cloud, networking, security and managed services.

“We are only in the first few innings of a decades-long infrastructure transformation within the enterprise data center,” Corvaia said in a statement. “It has become apparent to most technology leaders that to properly serve the needs of their organizations, the future is not a single cloud destination, but rather a mix of multiplatform, hybrid infrastructure environments.

Founded in 1996, INAP provides hybrid infrastructure solutions including high-density co-location, managed cloud and network services.
