The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) awarded Reston-based AceInfo Solutions LLC (AceInfo) a $59 million task order to develop crop insurance software platforms, the company announced Wednesday.
Under the task order from the USDA’s Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Risk Management Agency (RMA), AceInfo (a Dovel Technologies subsidiary) will provide software development services to create new crop insurance products, sustain and modernize current applications and work on new information technology systems.
Last year, the USDA agency managed nearly $115 billion worth of insurance liability, according to AceInfo.
“AceInfo stands ready to collaborate with RMA on solutions that make the delivery of new insurance products and services more efficient for both the agency and the farmers it serves,” AceInfo Chief Operating Officer Mike Cosgrave, said in a statement. “We look forward to applying innovative development methodologies and delivering modernized solutions to enhance this important program.”
Founded in 2000, AceInfo provides application, cloud, cybersecurity and IT infrastructure services.
