SOS International LLC acquired Denmark-based analytics software company NorthStar Systems.

Reston-based federal contractor and tech firm SOS International LLC (SOSi) has acquired Denmark-based analytics software company NorthStar Systems, SOSi announced Tuesday, making it the company’s fifth acquisition since 2016, including New World Solutions, Defense Group Inc., STG Group Holdings Inc. and Vykin Corp.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We’re continuing to expand our strategic position by acquiring unique and differentiating technologies where we see the potential for growth,” SOSi President and CEO Julian Setian said in a statement.
SOSi specializes in data analytics for aerospace, defense and government clients. In particular, SOSi manages a portion of the U.S. Army’s global information grid, providing IT support to more than 500,000 users.
The company’s recent acquisitions expanded service offerings. SOSi has built a data analytics platform and a cloud-based artificial intelligence platform.
The company was founded in 1989 and originally provided services to the law enforcement industry.
