DuPont Fabros Technology Inc., a real estate investment trust based in Washington, D.C., has officially opened its newest data center, ACC7, at its 1.6 million-square-foot Ashburn corporate campus.
The company describes ACC7 as one of the largest multitenant data centers in North America, with 446,000 gross square feet.
It is the sixth data center on the company’s Ashburn campus and the largest data center in the company's portfolio.
The company said ACC7 is the first facility to fully utilize its newest data center design.
Each base computer room is approximately 8,500 gross square feet, offers flexible power from 1.0 to 2.0 megawatts of critical load capacity and can house approximately 378 2-foot by 4-foot server cabinets.
The company's 11 data centers are located in four major U.S. markets, which total 2.75 million gross square feet and 240 megawatts of available critical load to power the servers and computing equipment of its customers.
