Harvey Lindsay has a century-long legacy in Hampton Roads, where the commercial real estate company offers brokerage services and asset and property management.
King is the adopted son of Harvey L. Lindsay Jr., a community pillar who continues to serve as the firm’s chairman in his 90s. Lindsay adopted King and his brother, Billy, after their father, naval pilot Robert M. King Jr., died in a training flight accident.
Bob King joined the company in 1978, leading its retail leasing team. He’s credited with helping expand its shopping center portfolio to more than 4.5 million square feet.
A Duke University graduate who earned his MBA at Old Dominion University, King became president of Harvey Lindsay in December 2019. He also serves on the board of the ODU Educational Foundation.
