Swaak became a partner at TTR Sotheby’s International Realty in 2007 and now holds the positions of co-chief operating officer and managing broker for the company’s Virginia offices, with more than 500 agents covering McLean and The Plains.
His professional background extends to hotel development, acquisitions, and franchise sales for renowned national lodging chains. He holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Cornell University.
In 2021, Swaak served as board president for the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors, and in 2022, he was named NVAR Realtor of the Year. He currently serves on the board of directors of Bright MLS and is on the advisory panel for the McLean Project for the Arts.

HOW I BALANCE WORK AND PERSONAL LIFE: I don’t. When you work in residential real estate, you are on call all the time. Fortunately, my wife also works for the firm, so we are in it together.
