R1 International, a global distributor of natural rubber, has purchased an 83,000-square-foot warehouse in Richmond for $1.5 million. The seller was Gordon Property Inc.
According to CBRE/Richmond, which brokered the deal, the company plans to use the James River Barge Service to bring product up to the Port of Richmond several times a week. The rubber will be stored in the warehouse at 1207 Gordon Ave.
R1, based out of Singapore, only one North American office located in Charlottesville.
Rob Dirom and Wood Thornton of CBRE/Richmond represented the seller. Matt Anderson of CBRE/Richmond and Mason Graham of CBRE/Charlottesville represented the buyer.
