QinetiQ North America names new CEO

J.D. Crouch II will become CEO of McLean-based QinetiQ North America (QNA) after the retirement of the current chief executive, Duane Andrews at the end of March.

Crouch is currently president of QinetiQ North America’s Technology Solutions Group, where he oversees QNA’s defense products business. He earlier was executive vice president for strategic development.

During his 30-year career, Crouch held a number of prestigious public and private sector leadership positions. His most recent government service was as assistant to the president and deputy mational security adviser until June 2007.

He also served as U.S. Ambassador to Romania from 2004-2005 and before that was assistant secretary of defense for international security policy. He co-founded and was chief marketing officer of PalmGear.com.

Andrews joined QinetiQ North America as CEO in June 2006. He integrated QNA’s three subsidiaries and was responsible for managing its acquisition strategy, and Civilian agency customers.
