The Port of Virginia posted another record-setting month for the amount of containers it moved in October.
The Virginia Port Authority said Friday that it moved 206,597 TEUs, or 20-foot equivalent units, during the month. Its previous best month was July, when the port’s terminals handled 205,137 TEUs.
It also marks a 17.8 percent increase from the cargo it moved last October.
