In one of the biggest industrial leases of the year, Patricio Enterprises, a defense contractor based in Stafford County, has leased 427,115 square feet of space at 2705 Commerce Road in Richmond. According to the Richmond office of CBRE, which brokered the transaction, the company landed a contract with a division of the armed forces and plans to store surplus items related to the contract at the property.
Rob Dirom, a first vice president with CBRE, said the 100-acre site, near the intersection of Commerce and Bells Road, offers about 2.6 million square feet of industrial warehouse space that in the past was used by Philip Morris to store tobacco. Philip Morris continues to lease about 50 percent of the buildings at the site, said Dirom. The property owner is Alleghany Warehouse Co. Inc. Dirom and Joseph Marchetti III represented Alleghany.
In another deal for CBRE/Richmond, Health Diagnostic Laboratory Inc., a Richmond-based medical diagnostic firm, leased 11,812 square feet at 2001 Techpark Park in Henrico County.
