Omega World Travel in Fairfax has begun a partnership with Yapta, a pioneer in airfare price assurance services.  The arrangement, Omega said in a news release, will provide its corporate clients with cost saving opportunities within existing travel programs.

Through a real-time airfare tracking solution, known as FareIQ, Omega says it will be able to offer these benefits:

·         24/7 tracking of booked airfares to capitalize on airfare price fluctuations;

·         Automatic price-drop alerts that notify clients of opportunities to rebook tickets at lower prices.

“We are excited about our partnership with Yapta, and it comes at a perfect time when clients have had to cut their travel budgets and are searching for innovative ways to reduce their travel spend,” Omega’s President and CEO Gloria Bohan said in a statement.  “This technology offers Omega one more way to help our clients’ control costs, which is every customer’s number one concern. We count on our vendors to bring us best-in-class solutions and Yapta has delivered.”

Omega World Travel is the fourth-largest travel management company in the U.S. Clients include corporate, government, meeting and leisure customers throughout the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Yapta, based in Seattle, is the developer of FareIQ, the corporate travel industry’s only independent airfare price-tracking solution. Launched in 2007, the technology quickly gained more than 1 million registered members, and Yapta said it has delivered more than $450 million in airfare savings alerts to consumers.
