The official grand opening of the new Robins Center at the University of Richmond, following a $17 million renovation, has been set for Saturday, Jan. 18 at 3 p.m.

The school’s basketball team has been playing at the center since November. However Saturday brings the opportunity to show off the center’s new hospitality suites and other renovations such as LED lighting, video boards and refurbished seats. 

The Robins Center, which opened in 1972, has hosted Spiders basketball for 41 years.
