Glen Allen-based Old Dominion Electric Cooperative (ODEC) has named D. Richard Beam senior vice president for power supply.
Beam, who has worked for ODEC since 1987, was vice president for power supply.
He has worked in the areas of power supply planning and contracting, project management, power cost budgeting, rates and regulatory affairs, and power markets.
As senior vice president Beam will oversee the entire power-supply operation with additional responsibility for engineering, planning, environmental, member services, and the information technology functions.
Pete Gallini has been appointed interim vice president for power supply. He currently serves as senior director of power supply.
ODEC is a not-for-profit, member-owned, power supply cooperative. It supplies the wholesale power requirements of its 11 member electric distribution cooperatives, which provide electricity to 1.2 million people in 70 counties in Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.
