Northrop Grumman subsidiary lands $1.4B Army contract

Integrated Battle Command System work to be completed by 2026

The U.S. Army awarded a subsidiary of Falls Church-based Northrop Grumman Corp. a $1.38 billion contract to work on the Integrated Battle Command System, the Department of Defense announced Dec. 23.

The hybrid contract was awarded to Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. by the U.S. Army Contracting Command out of Restone Arsenal, Alabama. The contract is for low-rate initial production and full-rate production of the system, which senses, identifies, tracks and defeats air and missile threats, according to Northrop Grumman.

The work is expected to be completed by Dec. 22, 2026, according to the DOD.
