Gov. Ralph Northam is leading a five-day international trade and marketing mission this week to the United Kingdom, Italy and Germany.
He is accompanied by First Lady Pamela Northam, Secretary of Commerce and Trade Brian Ball, and Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry Bettina Ring, in addition to representatives from the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and Virginia Tourism Corp.
He has more than 30 meetings scheduled during the trip.
The trip includes the Farnborough International Airshow in London. Northam will host a reception there to promote Virginia’s business and tourism assets and explore new opportunities for Virginia agricultural products.
Northam also is scheduled to meet with U.S. Consul General Elizabeth Lee Martinez and Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs Todd Avery in Rome and host a dinner reception with the U.S. Consul General in Milan. Northam and his team will also meet with senior business executives in Italy and Germany.
