Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) CEO Shurl Montgomery announced his retirement on Friday which will be effective Dec. 31.
Before joining NRHA in 2004, Montgomery worked for the City of Norfolk for 27 years where he served in leadership positions, including a role as assistant city manager.
Montgomery serves on boards such as the Old Dominion University Community Development Corp. and Healthy Neighborhood Enterprises CDC.
NRHA is the largest redevelopment and housing authority in Virginia.
