Steven Anderson has been named director of Norfolk’s Department of Economic Development.
Anderson was director of economic and community development for St. Mary’s County, Md.
Before that, he worked for the Anderson Group providing consulting services to municipalities and companies.
He also served as the vice president of business development for St. Louis County, Mo.
Anderson has a law degree from Whittier College School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri.
His first day is Sept. 3.
