The Norfolk Waterside Marriott has completed a $4.5 million renovation begun last December.
The makeover included each of the hotel’s 397 rooms, including new furnishings, carpets, lighting and window treatments.
The final phase of renovation included the hotel's lobby, now decorated with artwork featuring three-dimensional tiles by Providence, R.I., artist Coral Bourgeo.
The hotel in downtown Norfolk has 60,000 square feet of event space.
