Newport News medical device company appoints new CFO

Newport News-based medical device company ivWatch LLC announced three executive appointments on Monday, including Teresa “Terry” Blevins as chief financial officer, Erin Wendell as chief marketing officer and Paul Stoddard as vice president of sales.

Blevins has more than 30 years of experience in financial planning and most recently worked as CFO for Hampton-based defense company Psionic Lidar. A certified public accountant, she has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in accounting and information systems from Virginia Tech.

Wendell has been in marketing communications for approximately 15 years and comes from Baltimore-based sporting goods brand Under Armour, where she served as senior director of global communications. She has a bachelor’s degree in economics and business from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland.

Stoddard comes from a health care sales background, with more than 30 years in the business. He spent more than 20 years at Philips Healthcare leading sales teams. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from York College in York, Pennsylvania.

ivWatch was founded in 2010 and its product helps clinicians monitor a patient’s IV status to help detect malfunctions in the peripheral IV such as infiltrations and extravasations.
