Newport News federal contractor names marketing, communications director

Newport News-based federal contractor and professional services company ITA International LLC announced Monday it has hired Lauren A. Green as director of marketing and strategic communications. 

Green was most recently the manager of strategic communications for Huntington Ingalls Industries’ technical solutions division. In her new role, she will serve as the company’s spokeswoman and manage the company’s brand, marketing and communications strategies.

“We are thrilled about the 15 years of public relations, marketing and communications experience Lauren brings to the team,” ITA CEO Mike Melo said in a statement. “She will be integrating and implementing a broad range of public relations activities relative to ITA’s strategic direction. Her prior experience and industry relationships will ensure she’s equipped for success.”

Green has also served in global media relations and social media management roles with Northrop Grumman. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from the Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications at Hampton University.

ITA International provides analysis, planning, training, exercise, intelligence, cyber, logistics, engineering and marine services.
