New chair named at Virginia Center for Health Innovation

Nancy Agee has been named chair of the board of directors at the Virginia Center for Health Innovation for 2014.

Agee is president and CEO of Roanoke-based Carilion Clinic, a nonprofit health-care system with 11,300 employees including about 600 physicians in more than 60 specialties.

Carilion has eight hospitals, seven outpatient centers, two specialty hospitals and nearly 200 practice sites.

The Virginia Center for Health Innovation is a two-year-old nonprofit organization that promotes health-care reform in the commonwealth.
