Pete Leroy joins McLean-based nonprofit research and development organization

McLean-based The Mitre Corp. (MITRE) has hired Charles “Pete” Leroy as vice president of integration and operations within its public sector division, the McLean-based nonprofit research and development organization for the federal government announced Tuesday.
With more than two decades of experience, Leroy most recently served as chief of staff, military and veterans’ health, for Leidos Health Group. In his new role, he will develop and supervise the implementation of operational policies and practices at the organization. He will also work on workforce engagement, program execution, business development, financial management and quality assurance.
Leroy has also held leadership positions with Reston-based Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC), Verizon Communications Inc. and Sky View World Media. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate and law from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona.
MITRE was founded in 1958 and has more than 8,400 employees.
