Midas of Richmond has purchased a 15,575-square-foot property in Scott’s Addition in Richmond for $1.28 million.
The one-story brick building at 1208-1216 North Boulevard was built in 1927 as an auto body repair garage.  Except for a brief stint as a dry cleaning facility in the 1940s, the property has been used to service the automotive industry, most recently by North American Transmission.

Midas of Richmond, owned by Mark Smith, currently has four other shops in the area. He plans to renovate the building. Capstone Contracting Co. has been selected as the general contractor. Susan Orange and Ray Trevillian with Baskervill will handle interior design and architecture services.

Brian Berkey of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer handled sale negotiations on behalf of the buyer.
