McLean staffing firm opens first Canadian office

McLean-based staffing company Digital Intelligence Systems LLC (DISYS) announced Tuesday it has opened its first Canadian office in Ontario.

DISYS has been doing business in Canada since 2014, but this will be the company’s first physical office in the Great White North. 

“Having a physical location in a prestigious area of downtown Toronto will give us a level playing field with other companies in the staffing industry who have been operating in the Canadian landscape for many years,” DISYS founder and CEO Mahfuz Ahmed said in a statement. “This expansion demonstrates our seriousness as a longevity partner, and will give our many U.S.-based clients who have Canadian operations the incentive to route staffing business to DISYS.”

In 2019, DISYS reported nearly $500 million in revenues, making it one of the largest staffing firms in the country, with more than 30 offices nationwide. The company has provided staffing services for more than 250 Fortune 500 companies and has an annual growth rate of 30%.

“Canada is an exceptionally viable market for DISYS, especially in the banking/financial, information technology and manufacturing sectors,” Sim Merekar, DISYS country head of Canada operations, said in a statement. “This new presence gives DISYS a seat at the table and increases our recognition as a key player in the Canadian staffing marketspace. Double-digit growth is our goal.”

DISYS also has international locations in Brazil, Europe, India and Asia.
