Waldorf, Md,-based Community Bank of the Chesapeake plans to open two full-service bank branches in Fredericksburg during the next 18 months.
The bank, a subsidiary of The Community Financial Corp., opened a commercial loan production office last year in Fredericksburg’s Central Park development.
The first Community Bank branch, scheduled to open in July, will located at 1340 Central Park Blvd., Suite 106. The existing loan office will be relocated in the new branch.
The second branch is planned for 421 William St. in downtown Fredericksburg.
The bank is under contract to acquire a parcel of land at that site. Cconstruction is expected to begin later this year with completion by summer 2015.
Community Bank of the Chesapeake currently has 11 branches and more than $1 billion in assets.
