McLean-based Mars Inc. has named Jean-Christophe Flatin president, global chocolate, effective Oct. 1.
Flatin is global president of Royal Canin, a unit of Mars Petcare. He replaces Grant F. Reid, who recently moved into the role of office of the president for Mars Inc.
Flatin will be responsible for setting the global agenda for all aspects of Mars’ chocolate business, which includes iconic brands such as M&M’s and Snickers.
