Di Si is credited as the chief architect for Volkswagen’s turnaround in Latin America, including its largest product launch, with 20 models.

Amid a shakeup in leadership as the German automaker seeks to gain a foothold in the North American electric vehicle market, Di Si was named in July to succeed Scott Keogh, who has been appointed CEO of VW’s new Scout brand of electric SUVs and pickup trucks.

Di Si joined Volkswagen in 2014, serving as president and CEO of its Argentinian arm before being named president and CEO of VW’s Latin American operations in 2017; he became executive chairman of Volkswagen’s South America region in January.

Before joining VW, Di Si worked in finance and business development in the U.S. and Brazil with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Kimberly-Clark Corp. after getting his start managing special projects for The Monsanto Co. He has an MBA in international management from Arizona State University, an accounting degree from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University of Chicago. Di Si also received management training at Harvard Business School.
