Street launched his nearly 50-year career with Ethyl Corp. as vice president of health, safety and environment in 1975 after he graduated from Mississippi State University. Although he left in 2007 for a comparable role with Ethyl’s sister company, Afton Chemical Corp., Street returned to Ethyl after three years. Since 2015, he has guided the company as president. In that role, Street oversees the anti-knock compounds business of parent company NewMarket Corp.
Ethyl, which has been headquartered in Richmond since its 1921 founding, provides blending and supply solutions to enhance the performance of products across various industries while also distributing gasoline performance additives throughout North America. Additionally, Ethyl provides terminal storage and distribution services from its Houston facility. Storage and transloading services are provided on the Houston Ship Channel and it supplies fuel and lubricant additives for Afton Chemical.
