The CEO of Norfolk-based Maersk Line Limited (MLL) will retire at the end of January 2014, the company announced Wednesday. A replacement for John F. Reinhart has not been announced.

Reinhart was named MLL’s CEO in 2000 and president in 2004.

“I have been blessed to be part of the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group for almost 23 years, and it has been my privilege and honor to work together with you for the past 14 years,” Reinhart wrote in a statement to MLL colleagues.

Reinhart plans to remain in Virginia Beach during retirement.

MLL provides U.S. flag transportation, ship management and maritime technical services.
