Lumos Networks Corp. has appointed its chief accounting officer to serve as interim CFO.
John G. Broekhuysen, vice president, corporate controller and chief accounting officer of Waynesboro-based Lumos, will provide transition services through September 2014.
The company is starting a search process to replace CFO Harold L. Covert, who is resigning for family reasons. Covert joined the company in September 2011.
Broekhuysen, 43, joined Lumos in November 2012 as vice president and corporate controller. He was appointed chief accounting officer in January 2014. Previously, he was senior vice president, assistant treasurer and corporate controller of GlobalLogic Inc. and worked for AOL LLC from 2004 until 2008.
