Government contractor CACI International announced Thursday that it has appointed Kenneth Asbury as president and CEO effective immediately.

Asbury replaces Dan Allen, who became CEO last year. A company statement said Allen is leaving the company to “pursue personal interests.” He became CEO in July 2012 and had been with the company since March 2011.

Asbury spent more than 27 years at Lockheed, where he oversaw Lockheed’s Technical Operations, Mission Services, and Civil businesses in various roles. After leaving Lockheed, he was president and CEO of ASRC Federal.

“The CACI Board of Directors looks forward to working closely with Ken as we move forward in these times of opportunity as well as challenge,” J.P. London, executive chairman of CACI, said in a statement.
