Law 2023: MICHAEL R. SKLAIRE

With experience spanning private practice, trial work with the U.S. Department of Justice and positions as special assistant U.S. attorney and assistant U.S. attorney, Sklaire brings a wealth of experience to Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm with more than 2,650 attorneys across 47 locations. He has expertise in business crimes and government investigations, and he practices commercial litigation, focusing on the financial services industry.

The American University Washington College of Law grad is on the board of directors for Ayuda, an immigrant-focused legal nonprofit organization, and the Federal Bar Association Criminal Law Section, where he is a past president.

The firm was named a 2022 BTI Highly Recommended Law Firm for superior client service and is consistently among the top firms on the Am Law Global 100 and NLJ 250. Additionally, Greenberg Traurig is a member of the EPA’s Green Power Partnership Program, recognized for powering its U.S. offices with 100% renewable energy.

Earlier this year, the firm added its first chair construction and real estate litigator to its Northern Virginia office and is growing its global capital markets practice through a new Israeli corporate team in New York and Tel Aviv.
