As founder of Fishwick & Associates, a trial law firm with a focus on personal injury, civil rights and federal criminal law, Fishwick stays busy. He also has a significant profile as a legal expert for the national media, appearing on CNN, MSNBC and Fox Business Network, as well as being quoted by The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal. He’s discussed everything from the federal raid of Mar-a-Lago to the murder trial of Alex Murdaugh in South Carolina.
A Harvard graduate, Fishwick earned his law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law and was appointed U.S. attorney for the Western District of Virginia during the Obama administration.
Active in his community, Fishwick helped get Roanoke public tennis courts renamed for his late friend Carnis Poindexter, a local trailblazing godfather of Black tennis players. Fishwick himself is a lifelong tennis player and was inducted this year into the Roanoke Regional Tennis Hall of Fame.
Fishwick also serves on the boards for the Taubman Museum of Art and the Roanoke Higher Education Center Foundation.
