The Kroger Co. announced Monday that it created more than 600 jobs in Virginia last year. The Cincinnati, Ohio-based grocery store chain also generated more than 7,000 jobs across the U.S. in 2013.
Virginia accounted for the most jobs created in Kroger’s Mid-Atlantic region last year, which yielded more than 800 new jobs. The division is made up Virginia plus North Carolina, West Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio and part of Kentucky.
