The specialty department store chain Kohl’s has signed a 50,000-square-foot lease for retail space in the New River Valley Mall in Christiansburg. This is Kohl’s first location in Christiansburg.
Brett McNamee and Debbie Wake, senior vice presidents of the Richmond office of Divaris Real Estate, represented Kohl’s in the lease negotations.
DRE has facilitated lease negotiations for several Kohl’s in Virginia and is working with the chain on its expansion strategy into the major markets of Southeastern, Central and Western Virginia.
Kohl’s has 1,163 stores in 49 states. The company offers national and exclusive brands for women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing and housewares including luggage and bedding.
Gerald Divaris, chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate Inc., based in Virginia Beach, is heading up the team on the Kohl’s account, which includes McNamee, Wake and Mary McGovern, senior vice president of DRE’s Virginia Beach office.
