Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NBFK) has named Kirk Boyd executive managing director in its McLean office. With a focus in tenant representation, Boyd has provided real estate services to leading companies in the Washington, D.C., metro area and throughout the U.S., completing more than 15 million square feet of real estate transactions during his career.
He has been involved in a variety of corporate projects, such as headquarters selection, data centers and network operating centers (NOCs). Notable transactions include a 1.2-million-square-foot, build-to-suit project for Exodus Communications in Dulles, headquarters leases for Sunrise Senior Living and the nearly 250,000-square-foot headquarters and distribution center for GTSI Corp. near Washington Dulles International Airport.
Before joining NGKF, Boyd held senior positions at both CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield. Most recently, he worked as a principal in a real estate advisory firm he co-founded in 2010.
He has served on the board of directors for the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors and was programs chair for the Northern Virginia Technology Council.
