JLL said Monday that Jim Herbert has joined its Industrial Practice Group in the Mid-Atlantic region as a vice president focusing on land brokerage.
Herbert will work with clients who want to leverage land for commercial use and clients seeking land for commercial development.
Herbert brings more than 25 years of business development experience to JLL. He was most recently a business development officer with the Loudoun County Department of Economic Development, where he worked to expand the department’s commercial business development team, grow Loudoun’s organic start-ups and small businesses and retain and expand established businesses.
Before going to work for Loudoun County in 2012, Herbert was the managing partner at GlobalStrat LLC, where he spent more than six years providing business development services for mergers and acquisitions, new start-ups and international expansion. His career also includes nine years as vice president for global business development with E.J. Krause & Associates.
A resident of Middleburg, Herbert serves on the Boards of the Piedmont Community Foundation, the Middleburg Community Center, the Mosby Heritage Area Association and Christmas in Middleburg.
