Inova to build a new health-care facility in Dulles

Inova Health Care Services, a not-for-profit health-care system in Northern Virginia, has purchased an 8.7-acre tract of land and plans to build a Healthplex facility in Dulles. It will offer 24-hour health care, including physician offices and diagnostic imaging.

The company that sold the land, Akridge and Soave Enterprises, said in a news release Thursday that the Healthplex will be an integral part of a larger mixed-use development, planned around multi-modal transit opportunities that future adjacent Metrorail stations will create.

Inova’s land is part of a 137-acre development, known as Loudoun Parkway Center, located on the Dulles Greenway at the Loudoun County Parkway interchange. The purchase price was not disclosed.

“Along with our previous relationship with Digital Realty Trust, this transaction will bring more than one million square feet of commercial development to Loudoun Parkway Center. We are excited to have Inova be a part of Loudoun Parkway Center as we develop the property into a mixed-use community that fully realizes the potential of the Metro stations,” Michael Gill, vice president at Akridge, said in a statement.  

Harry Klaff, Chris Bynum, and Matt Gallagher of Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc., represented Inova in the transaction.
