Monday Properties announced Monday that it has signed a 17,076-square foot, 13-year lease at 1501 Wilson Blvd. with ICA Language Services (ICA), a company that provides language services for government, military and commercial clients.
A long-time resident of Rosslyn, ICA will relocate from 1901 North Moore St. to the penthouse and 12th-floor space at its new address. When it takes occupancy in 2016, ICA will move into a building with direct access to the project’s recently expanded retail offerings.
“It was a difficult decision to make after twenty-five positive years in our current building. However this move to 1501 Wilson aligns with our mission to provide the highest quality language services in a modern, technology-enabled facility,” Lexie Casey, president, ICA Language Services, said in a statement. “Our foreign language training and testing clients have found us in Rosslyn since 1990, and it was important for us to retain our presence in this community.”
Monday Properties said it has invested more than $5 million worth of capital improvements to 1501 Wilson Boulevard, including a renovated lobby, new HVAC systems, improved public areas, new tenant fitness center, and an outdoor activity plaza. The property consists of thirteen floors with a total of 126,000 square feet of office space and is blocks from the Rosslyn Metro station.
“Rosslyn’s access to the Pentagon, key government agencies and a highly educated workforce has always made it ideally suited for contractors,” said Tim Helmig, president and COO of Monday Properties. “We have leased or renewed leases with four organizations directly related to government contracting so far this year, which reflects the resurgence the industry is experiencing as federal budgets have become more certain.”
Brian Wood of CBRE. ICA represented ICA in the transaction. Monday Properties was represented in-house by Helmig, John Wharton and Deniz Yener.
